Spinnerbait Product Information

Lead-free lures

We make use of lead-free materials in the manufacturing of our spinnerbaits. Though there is a slight difference in weight, it can hardly be noticed when compared with lead. The 3/8 referred to in our range of spinnerbait products should be seen as the size of the lure, and not necessarily the weight.

Lure blades

Our spinnerbait blades are made from high quality brass. We use the Colorado and Willowleaf type blades in different combinations, that work in South African waters.

Spinnerbait wire forms

Our wire forms are probably the part of our lures that distinguish it most from most other spinnerbaits. Instead of using the more conventional R-shaped wire form, we opted for the less widely known looped wire form. This ensures that the fishing line stays intact where it should, and does not move around the wire as can be the case with R-shaped forms. The wire is made from high quality stainless steel.

Ballbearing swivel

We use high quality ball bearing swivels on our spinnerbaits. This makes the blade spin more easily, which allows for a slower retrieval, should conditions call for it.

Spinnerbait skirts

We use high quality Sil-A-Chrome skirts on our spinnerbaits. Sil-A-Chrome skirts are made from chrome foil fused onto silicone. This provides our spinnerbaits with amazing reflection under water.

Mustad chemically sharpened hooks

Our lures are rounded off with Mustad chemically sharpened hooks to ensure good hookups. Top quality hooks for top quality lures!
